not so strange: also PM canadien have the spark plug side posted to the head... in the past happened ok capo

Non così strano in realtà: anche la PM canadien aveva la candela posta lateralmente alla testa...in passato accadeva ok capo

This Solo was in her very first version named: Solo 50!

The colour was red. There was also built the first Solo Kombimotor in brown.

All have had the same powerhead. Solo 50 and 630 were chainsaws and the Kombimotor chainsaw and also hedge trimmer, water pump, brush cutter and for sure many things more.

The old Kombimotor is hard to find, the newer cubic like built ones are often to find for sale in the web in germany.

Yes, why is spark plug and muffler in the front?

Solo has gone her own way and the lyinge engine has her head in the front and not behind like perhaps Homelite or McCulloch chainsaws.

Tomorrow I have time and will dismantle this blue lady. I take some pictures so you all better understand than my worse written english Laughing

I will try to heat up the spring at the broken end and make a new hook!

Otherwise I have to search an other 630 to part out.

But I hate to part out good machines....this pains my collector heart affraid

That's a nuisance, you could try the first way or searching for another saw: in my opinion it's always a good thing having some other spare parts Wink

I must jump over my heart pain and try to find part saws.
Actually there is just one for sale in german ebay....for too much cash Evil or Very Mad

Time will how always help me to finish my projects fischio

Unfortunatelly the hook you will try to make is the internal . Don't heat up too much, otherwise the hook will be open at first pull!!! Good luck.
